You'll probably find that the area your scouting there is an SSI site and you wouldn't be granted permission to collect. Please don't collect Wales 'Yamadori' illegally Lee.
Of course I would never collect illegally Bry. I do not know anything about this area yet in regards to who owns it and whether it is SSSI. I am just out, walking and looking at the moment (on public rights of way) and always gain permission before digging. Cheers.
